Truth be told, I only care for the 1st Final Fantasy game remade for the GBA.
It has NO story, so your free to imagine how the outcome of the tale should be.
You choose your own kind of characters based off class.
Final Fantasy is essentially a nice little Iphone time waster. It'll help me get through lines and wait rooms.
RPG's in general won't make sense to allot of American viewers.
Because the Japanese mindset takes their art direction into designs of elegance and art.
Take for example the ukiyo-e artistic genre.
Every picture is VERY well done. And often times the males appear more effeminate.
I dunno, but Japanese culture is kinda like that.
In fact, all the opening titles of Final Fantasy are actually ukiyo-e based art.
It's a cultural aspect of the game as well as a unique twist to turn based strategy games such as the humble origins of game such as battle ship and chess.
Of course they are turned based and time freezes. That's how the game works.
